My NY journalist friend, Allen Salkin, has just released a book called Festivus: A Holiday for the Rest of Us, and will be reading/reveling at Powell's on Wednesday, 11/23, 7:30pm. I will definitely be going, and I'd love to gather a group of friends to join me.
If you're not familiar with Festivus, it's the Seinfeld-spawned anti-holiday where people erect a bare aluminum pole in place of a Christmas tree, and participate in such rituals as the Airing of Grievances and Feats of Strength. 'Tis the season!
